I've had my Sony headphones for a number of years. I bought them based on a Wirecutter review. They serve me well. In the last year however the leather on the ear cushions started flaking off. I finally gave up and decided to order replacement ear cushions. After reading a lot of various reviews here on Amazon I decided to try these.The installation is pretty straightforward. Peel the old cushions and and put these in their place. Since you want these to fit snug it takes a little finagling to get everything in its proper place. No special tools required.As far as performance these do a great job. I've worn them a few hours at a time and no heating or fatigue from the ear cushions themselves. I gave four stars on the noise cancellation as I didn't expect these to perform that function. They do a great job of minimizing the noise around me but I can still hear the louder noises or if someone is talking to me. Obviously a lot depends on the playback volume. I don't listen to anything any louder than necessary.So overall rating is excellent. Very nice replacement for the Sony cushions. Long term wear is comfortable without getting hot or sticky. Installation is simple and the product fits very snuggly so it won't fall off easily.
