I've had it for about 2 weeks, cat loves playing, is less interested in string toys, but loves laser toys/catnip mouses. This works really well plugged into a computer/usb wall adapter, you might forget to change batteries, but when it is plugged in, you can set it up once and it works by itself. The noise it makes is a very light electric motor sound, I can't hear it when it is only a couple feet away from me all day. The only thing in question is whether it will last just a month, or years.
