Evans icy is no Faulkner or even Dashiell Hammet. But she is better than anyone alive today at what she does which is to write books with humor and lightweight romance coupled with mystery. I was under the weather, feeling cruddy and decided she was exactly who I wanted to spend the day in bed with. I've read most of the Stephan Plum series. -- saved a few for days like today. But I had not started the Lizzy and Diesel series. This is the first.book in the series - which has a light frosting of paranormal talents spread amongst the.characters. it wasfun, sexy and a quick read which was what I was.in the mood for. Five hours that took little or no effort and made Mr chuckle a number of times. Thank you Janet Evanovich for what you do. Entertainment has its own merits.
